Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP in India is seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer to join a hybrid role requiring an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office. The role focuses on triaging customer issues, building layer 2/3 testbeds, and collaborating with developers to deliver robust wireless networking solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of experience, strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networks, and Wi‑Fi standards (802.11).

Qualifications

  • BA/BS/MS in EECS or related subject area.
  • Experience level: 5–8 years.
  • Knowledge in Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking.
  • Knowledge in 802.11 Wi‑Fi standards.
  • Juniper Router & Switch Certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and resolve customer support escalations from multiple inbound channels.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations on response quality, timeliness of responses and overall customer experience.
  • Build and maintain layer 2/3 network testbeds.
  • Understand features and reproduce customer issues.
  • File tickets on bugs found.
  • Analyze logs and pinpoint root causes.
  • Work with developers and drive solutions.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and discussions and provide status reports.
  • Ask good questions.

What you need to bring:
  • Education and Experience Required: BA/BS/MS in EECS or related subject area
  • Experience level: 5~8 years
  • Knowledge in Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking
  • Knowledge in 802.11 Wi‑Fi standards
  • Juniper Router & Switch Certifications is a plus
