Job summary

TransUnion in Maharashtra, India, invites applications for Lead Developer, Applications Development in a hybrid role that combines virtual collaboration with in-person work at a TU office at least two days a week.

You will guide design and implementation, solve client problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field is required.
• 10+ years of software development experience in PHP or similar language.
• Expert knowledge of object oriented programming.
• Expert knowledge of MySQL relational databases.
• Strong front-end skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Proficient with version control tools (Subversion or Git).
• Linux command line and server management experience is a plus.
• Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
• Excellent consultative skills to understand client needs and translate them into solutions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test and maintain existing software applications.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Consultative skills in order to understand the technical needs of the client, the ability to determine any problems or unmet needs the client may face and an aptitude for solving complex problems.


• Ability to communicate professionally in written responses with extreme detail to customer requirements in support of solution development and delivery.
