Job summary

Mammoth Equipment & Exhaust in Jabalpur, India, seeks an experienced Web Designer/Developer to design and build high-performing B2B and ecommerce websites. You will work end-to-end from discovery to build, QA, deployment and optimization in a full-time, on-site role.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years' experience in web design/development with strong WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify skills, plus a good understanding of UX/UI, CMS architectures and multi-site delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional web design/development experience with a portfolio of live production sites.
• Strong WordPress engineering beyond page-builder, plus practical WooCommerce and Shopify project delivery.
• Experience with B2B, ecommerce, and multi-site environments is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design responsive B2B and ecommerce websites using user-centred UX/UI, conversion and accessibility principles.
• Build and maintain production websites in WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify, including custom themes, blocks, templates and functionality.
• Develop reusable design systems, components and CMS structures to support efficient multi-entity delivery without inflexible clones.
• Translate requirements into clear navigation, wireframes, interfaces and conversion pathways.
• Build campaign landing pages and integrate HubSpot forms, tracking, chat, CRM and marketing automation.
• Implement GA4, GTM and conversion tracking; support CRO testing and measurement.
• Implement technical SEO, structured content, accessibility and performance requirements.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals, security, mobile usability, caching/CDN configuration and front-end performance.
• Maintain staging, version control, backups, deployment, QA and rollback procedures with release documentation.
• Build or implement customer login areas to track purchases and conversions.

Job description

Position Summary:

Design and build high-performing B2B and ecommerce websites, landing pages and digital experiences across MEI Group. This role combines senior UX/UI judgement with hands-on CMS development: the successful candidate must be able to take work from discovery and wireframe through build, integration, QA, deployment and optimisation. The position is full-time and office-based at the Mammoth Jabalpur office, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm.

Main Duties / Key Responsibilities:

• Design responsive B2B and ecommerce websites using user-centred UX/UI, conversion and accessibility principles.
• Build and maintain production websites in WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify, including custom themes, blocks, templates and functionality where required.
• Develop reusable design systems, components and CMS structures that support efficient multi-entity delivery without creating inflexible clone sites.
• Translate commercial requirements, customer journeys and content architecture into clear navigation, wireframes, interfaces and conversion pathways.
• Build campaign landing pages and integrate HubSpot forms, tracking, chat, CRM and approved marketing automation.
• Implement GA4, Google Tag Manager and agreed conversion tracking; support CRO testing and measurement.
• Implement technical SEO, structured content, accessibility and performance requirements supplied by the relevant specialists.
• Optimise Core Web Vitals, security, mobile usability, caching/CDN configuration and front-end performance.
• Maintain staging, version control, backups, deployment, QA and rollback procedures with disciplined release documentation.
• Build or implement customer login areas of the site to act as portals which track purchases and enable conversions.
• Support migrations and platform changes, including Drupal-to-WordPress opportunities, and document CMS standards for non-technical users.

Required Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

• Qualification in Web Design, Digital Design, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of professional web design/development experience with a portfolio of sophisticated live production websites.
• Strong WordPress engineering experience beyond page-builder assembly, plus practical WooCommerce and Shopify project delivery.
• Experience with B2B, ecommerce, industrial or complex-product websites and multi-site environments is highly regarded.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced Figma UX/UI; WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, WordPress APIs, custom themes/blocks, HTML5, CSS/SASS and JavaScript.
• Shopify theme development and Liquid, responsive/mobile-first design and reusable component architecture.
• Git/version control, staging, deployment, backup and rollback practices.
• Web performance/Core Web Vitals, security, WCAG/accessibility and technical SEO implementation.
• GA4, GTM, conversion tracking and HubSpot/CMS integration experience.
• Experience or knowledge of database management considered an asset.

Soft Skills:

• Combines design judgement with engineering discipline and thinks in complete user journeys rather than isolated pages.
• Strong problem-solving, responsive-detail and quality-assurance capability with clear professional English.
• Commercially aware of lead generation and ecommerce and comfortable working with marketers, engineers, product managers and executives.
