Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of hands-on technical leadership in Veeva Vault CRM and/or Salesforce engineering, DevOps, release orchestration, environment governance, and operational reliability.
• Experience with Veeva Vault, Salesforce, Databricks, Apex, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tech stacks.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as GitHub and GitHub Actions; hands-on CI/CD pipelines setup and governance.

Responsibilities

As the technical lead in Veeva Vault CRM Release Engineering Team , you will drive release architecture, governance, and DevOps enablement across multiple global Veeva environments. The role extends beyond traditional Veeva release management and Org administration- you will define and own release strategies, deployment frameworks, and release governance processes to support scalable, compliant, and reliable software delivery. The successful candidate will combine deep Veeva technical expertise with strong software engineering, automation, problem‑solving, and strategic leadership capabilities. Establish and govern GitHub-based source control, branching and merging strategies, release versioning, and configuration management standards across development teams. Architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps practices to improve release velocity, quality, and operational efficiency. Lead and support strategic initiatives including Veeva Vault CRM migrations, Manage complex multi‑environment configuration lifecycles, ensuring controlled promotion of configurations, metadata, security changes, and integrations across development, validation, UAT, and production environments. Provide technical leadership for deployment planning, release readiness, cutover execution, rollback strategies, incident resolution, and post‑deployment stabilization. Mentor engineers and administrators, vendors, cross skill and cross train the team members, and act as the senior technical escalation point for complex platform, release, and deployment challenges. Contribute to platform optimization initiatives, including license governance, utilization optimization, cost reduction, operational efficiency improvements, and technology modernization efforts. Identify opportunities to leverage AI‑powered automation, intelligent release management, and engineering productivity solutions to improve reliability and operational efficiency across the Veeva landscape. Partner with Product, Engineering, Quality, Security, and technology stakeholders to drive excellence through automation, standardization, continuous improvement.

Expected Experience and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 8+ years of hands‑on technical leadership in Veeva Vault CRM and/or Salesforce engineering, DevOps, configuration management, release orchestration, environment governance, and operational reliability. Experience with Veeva Vault, Salesforce Service Cloud, Databricks, Apex, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tech stacks. Experience leading and executing configuration migrations, data loads, environment refreshes, release validations, and production deployments while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Proficiency with DevOps and tools such as GitHub and GitHub Actions and hands‑on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, source control, and release governance frameworks.. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve deployment issues, release incidents, and platform‑related challenges. Working knowledge of Veeva vault, Salesforce technologies, scripting, APIs, and automation frameworks to support deployment and operational efficiencies. Experience with VQL and SQL for data querying, analysis, and troubleshooting and support integration of Veeva data with Databricks or other enterprise data lakes, Leverage AWS Glue, Python, SQL, and other technologies for data integration and automation. Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional collaboration with global market and technology stakeholders to design CRM migration roadmaps, release governance frameworks, and multi‑environment architecture strategies, while providing technical leadership for complex regional and global CRM deployment programs. Assess emerging Veeva capabilities, AI technologies, and DevOps tooling to continuously improve engineering productivity and platform reliability.

Must Have

Must Have Veeva Vault CRM Administrator certifications or Salesforce Platform certifications. Experience supporting global life sciences platforms operating under regulated and validated environments.

Good To have

Good To have Experience with AI‑assisted DevOps, intelligent release automation, predictive deployment analytics, and Generative AI technologies. Exposure to cloud‑native technologies , AWS.
