Job summary

Persistent Systems in Mumbai is seeking a Senior UiPath Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy RPA solutions using UiPath Studio, Robots, and Orchestrator. You will collaborate with analysts and architects to define automation strategies and deliver scalable, secure automation components.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of experience in software development or RPA, with hands-on UiPath Process Mining and strong knowledge of PDD/TDD and UAT support.

Responsibilities

This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to automate complex business processes, improve operational efficiency, and support digital transformation initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation workflows using UiPath Studio, Robots, and Orchestrator.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define automation solutions.
• Develop scalable, secure, and reusable automation components aligned with organizational standards.
• Create and maintain Process Definition Documents (PDD), Technical Design Documents (TDD), solution documentation, and user guides.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Monitor bot performance, manage exceptions, and ensure smooth execution of automated processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to automation workflows.
• Integrate UiPath bots with enterprise applications, databases, web applications, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Follow RPA development best practices, coding standards, and governance guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production deployments, maintenance activities, and enhancement requests.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of automation projects.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5-8 years of overall experience in software development, automation, or RPA implementation.
• Strong hands-on expertise in UiPath Process Mining, UiPath, and RPA Concepts.
• Proficiency in UiPath Studio, UiPath Robots, and UiPath Orchestrator.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade RPA solutions.
• Strong understanding of UiPath REFramework and automation best practices.
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as C#, VB.NET, or Python.
• Experience integrating automation solutions with web applications, APIs, databases, Citrix environments, and enterprise systems.
• Good understanding of process mapping, process analysis, and workflow optimization methodologies.
• Knowledge of bot deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support activities.
• Experience working with SQL databases and data management concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile development environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of other RPA platforms such as Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism will be an added advantage.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
