Verdantas is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for a large, multi‑billion‑dollar electric transmission capital program based in Pune, India. The role requires leading the integrated master schedule, setting standards, and applying CPM across multiple EPC contractors.

You will establish WBS, coding, calendars, and milestones, develop complex CPM schedules, and manage risk, reporting, and governance across the portfolio. Local candidates preferred for onsite work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of project scheduling and/or project controls experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• 5+ years of experience leading projects and scheduling large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience developing, maintaining, and owning integrated master schedules for large, multi-project capital programs.
• Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling, float management, earned value, and time impact analysis.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.

We are seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to support a multi‑billion‑dollar electric transmission capital project. This position is in office and must be local to our Pune, Maharashtra office.

The Senior Scheduler owns the integrated master schedule and the scheduling function across a large transmission capital portfolio. This role sets the program's scheduling standard, including the schedule specification, coding structure, quality metrics, and reporting framework, and applies it across concurrent projects and multiple EPC contractors so portfolio‑level performance is visible, comparable, and defensible.

What You'll Do:

• Own the integrated master schedule across the portfolio, establishing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity coding, calendar, and milestone conventions that allow concurrent projects to be rolled up and compared
• Develop and baseline complex Critical Path Management (CPM) schedules in Primavera P6 and MS Project for the most technically demanding projects, including multi‑contractor, multi‑front, and outage‑constrained work
• Lead critical path, float, variance, earned value, what‑if, time‑impact, and recovery analysis at both project and portfolio level
• Manage float as a program resource, monitoring consumption across projects and identifying where surplus on one project can release constrained resources to another
• Identify systemic schedule risk across the portfolio, distinguishing a recurring pattern from an isolated project problem
• Design the schedule reporting framework, determining what is measured, how it is presented, and what triggers action, and produce portfolio dashboards and executive reporting
• Coordinate schedule interfaces between projects, including shared corridors, shared outage windows, common long‑lead equipment, and adjacent utility dependencies

Schedule Governance & Standards

• Author and maintain the program schedule specification, scheduling procedures, schedule quality criteria, and schedule KPI definitions, in collaboration with client governance teams
• Establish the contractor schedule review and acceptance process, and the thresholds at which schedule movement requires narrative justification, impact analysis, or escalation
• Lead review and acceptance of EPC contractor baseline and update schedules across multiple contractors, holding a consistent standard across the portfolio
• Own schedule change control, assessing impacts of scope change, evaluating delay claims and time extension requests, and supporting mitigation and recovery planning
• Drive continuous improvement of scheduling practice, feeding lessons learned back into procedures, templates, and training

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the senior scheduling point of contact for owner program leadership, presenting portfolio schedule performance, forecast confidence, and recovery options in program and executive reviews
• Lead schedule discussions with EPC contractors, holding them to the specification while keeping the working relationship productive
• Present at milestone‑readiness reviews and support stage‑gate decisions with schedule evidence
• Work on site at the client's downtown Houston offices on a regular basis as an embedded member of the internal project team

Risk Identification & Escalation

• Surface emerging portfolio‑level schedule risk early, with quantified impact, alternatives, and a recommended course of action
• Define and apply escalation thresholds and response times for schedule exposure, and hold the program to them
• Maintain the record of schedule assumptions, mitigation commitments, and recovery actions, and drive them to verified closure

People & Team Development

• Mentor and develop project‑level schedulers and project controls staff; raise consistency of P6 practice across the program team
• Support recruitment, technical assessment, and onboarding of scheduling staff as the program scales
• Serve as the firm's senior scheduling resource on this program and a technical reference for the wider project controls community

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of project scheduling and/or project controls experience
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience using Primavera P6 and MS Project
• 5+ years of experience leading projects and scheduling large infrastructure projects
• Proven experience developing, maintaining, and owning integrated master schedules for large, multi‑project capital programs
• Direct experience supporting major energy infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability to review, challenge, and approve EPC contractor schedules
• Experience developing and implementing schedule specifications, procedures, and governance standards
• Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, float management, earned value management, and time impact analysis
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Procore, or similar software
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering schedule performance updates to senior client stakeholders

Preferred:

• Experience serving as an Owner's Engineer, Owner's Representative, or utility owner‑side program team member
• Experience establishing project controls or scheduling frameworks for new programs
• Experience coordinating schedule interfaces across adjacent utilities, shared corridors, or interconnected infrastructure projects
• Prior experience mentoring, leading, or supervising scheduling professionals
• Experience developing dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI or similar platforms
• Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle Unifier, or comparable ERP and project management systems
• Experience with Copilot tool development
• Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), or AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP)
• Experience performing delay analysis and construction claims support activities
