Qualifications

• 6-8 years of work experience as a Software engineer or SDET.
• Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms, OOPs concepts, Design patterns, and Collections using Java or other OO language.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, Agile processes and development cycles.
• Experience in testing & debugging Web, Mobile (Android/iOS) and Backend Applications.
• Hands-on experience in automating scripts using Selenium, Appium, Playwright etc.
• Automation experience for Rest based web services using Java (TestNG, Maven, HTTPClient, REST Assured, Jersey, Jackson).

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and testing requirements using shift-left methods.
• Review requirements, specifications and designs to provide timely feedback.
• Create comprehensive Test Strategy, Test Plans and Test cases.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks and libraries for Web, Mobile and Backend applications.
• Create and maintain automated test cases, execute test suites, debug and fix defects.
• Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities.

Position Summary

The Senior Test Engineers will help in delivering the quality and performance of large scale, multi platform banking software products that includes - Web, Mobile and Backend APIs. We are looking for experienced, hands-on and self-motivated engineers who can work collaboratively in a start-up like environment. This role includes both software development and testing tasks which focus on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software. You are expected to have advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams and various stakeholders to understand the business needs, impact areas, system architecture etc by leveraging Shift-left methods and coming up with the testing requirements and feasibility for Test Automation.
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create comprehensive and well-structured Test Strategy, Test Plans and Test cases.
• Build and maintain the automation frameworks and libraries for Web, Mobile and Backend applications.
• Create and maintain automated test cases, execute test suites, debugging, reviewing and diagnosing reported bugs, and ensuring overall system quality prior to a customer release.
• Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities.

Required Qualifications

• 6-8 years of work experience as a Software engineer or SDET.
• Strong knowledge on Data Structures and Algorithms, OOPs concepts, Design patterns, Collections etc using Java or other object oriented programming language.
• Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools, Agile processes and development cycles.
• Experience in testing & debugging Web, Mobile (Android/iOS ) and Backend Applications.
• Have technical knowledge of web (JS, CSS, debugging tools, etc.) and applications like Android Studio, XCode etc.
• Hands-on experience in automating scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, Playwright etc.
• Automation experience for Rest based web services using Java (TestNG, Maven, HTTPClient, REST assured, Jersey, Jackson etc.).
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience with project management tools e.g. Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience working with various SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Proficient experience with Git CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, or other build automation tools.
• Ability to deploy and scale the execution of automation scripts using Docker & Kubernetes.
• Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
