GlobalLogic in Pune is seeking a Senior Test Engineer with 4–5 years of manual testing experience. You will design and execute test cases, perform functional/regression/integration testing, and manage defects in Azure DevOps, with exposure to Playwright automation.

The role emphasizes SDLC/STLC knowledge, SQL validation, and collaboration with developers and QA. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with team-oriented, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset.

• 4–5 years of hands-on software testing experience with strong manual testing foundation.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual test cases based on requirements.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System and Smoke testing.
• Identify, report, and track bugs using Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Ensure test coverage and quality metrics are met.
• Contribute to improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Work with automation engineers; assist in creating Playwright scripts when needed.

Requirements

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Manual Tester with 4 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in manual testing processes, test case creation, and defect management. While the primary responsibility will be manual testing, experience or familiarity with Playwright automation tools is highly desirable.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in manual testing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for backend/database validation.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies.
• Experience with test case management tools.
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems like Azure Devops.
• Exposure to testing web-based and desktop applications.
• Product testing.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience or working knowledge of Playwright automation framework.
• Basic scripting experience in JavaScript/TypeScript (or any language used in Playwright).
• Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or REST-assured.

Soft Skills

Education

• Work alongside automation engineers; optionally assist in creating scripts using Playwright.
