Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Test Lead with strong automation expertise to drive quality across projects in Bangalore. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and REST-assured, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with WebDriver, Grid, and API testing (REST/SOAP). You will mentor other QA engineers, review tests, and help establish robust QA practices.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of overall experience.
• Design, develop, execute & maintain automated test cases and test scripts.
• Develop automated tests using JAVA & TestNG. Design reusable scripts in Selenium.
• Develop automated tests using REST API frameworks such as RestAssured, Jersey, ReadyAPI, etc.

Responsibilities

• Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the SDLC.
• Collaborate with other quality engineers including design and test reviews.
• Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria and surface edge cases.
• Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of QA, including manual and automated tests and setup of production-like environments.

Essential Requirements

• 7 to 10 Years of overall experience.
• Design, develop, execute & maintain automated test cases and test scripts.
• Develop automated tests using JAVA & TestNG. Design efficient & reusable scripts in Selenium to be used across automated tests.
• Develop automated tests using ReST API frameworks such as RestAssured, Jersey, ReadyAPI, etc. Design efficient & reusable scripts to be used across automated tests.
• Hands-on experience in Test Automation using Selenium WebDriver & Grid.
• Hands-on experience in testing Web Services/ API’s (REST, SOAP, and WSDL) & respective automation.
• Review test cases and procedures to ensure coverage of and conformance to business requirements.
• Execute testing as required & according to test plan and project goals. Communicate testing progress and results in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and continually improve quality assurance practices, including creation and update of documentation related to quality assurance processes and guidelines.
• Provide impact analysis and regression testing of software changes.
• Knowledge in Defect Lifecycle and Defect Management tools like JIRA

Desirable Requirements

• Background in Computer Science with good expertise of OOPS concepts & programming in Java.
• Experience with IDE such as IntelliJ/Eclipse & source control systems & continuous integration tools such as GIT, bitbucket, etc.
• Familiarity with highly scalable, high throughput web applications and backend systems.
• Familiarity with SQL queries, relational database systems, and ORM tools like Hibernate.
• Familiarity using AWS technologies and products.

Job responsibilities
