Happiest Minds Technologies is seeking a firmware test engineer for industrial embedded devices in Bengaluru. The role involves validating motion controllers/RTUs, performing protocol testing (MODBUS preferred), and ensuring robust test automation. Candidates should be proficient in Python, SDLC/Agile processes, and using Git/JIRA for workflow and defect tracking.

Exposure to Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, test lab setup, and strong communication are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in firmware testing for industrial embedded devices.
• Knowledge of motion controllers and RTUs validation.
• Understanding of SDLC and testing within Agile environments.
• Hands-on Python scripting for test automation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with in-house testing tools and simulators.
• Experience with HIL testing and test lab setup.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols, preferably MODBUS.
• GIT or equivalent configuration management tooling experience.
• JIRA or similar bug tracking system experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• ? Strong Experience in Firmware testing of the Industrial Embedded Device Firmware and validation of Motion Logic controllers, RTUs
• ?Protocol Testing knowledge on any one of the industrial protocol s- preferably MODBUS.
• ? Experience in the connectivity protocols Ethernet, RS485, RS232
• ? Experience in control systems, DCS (Distributed control systems)
• ? Experience in HIL (Hardware in Loop) Testing.
• ?Usage of in-house tools and simulators for testing.
• ? Test Lab design and preparation, troubleshooting
• ? Strong experience in Realisation of Requirements to Test Case Design and Test Automation
• ? Hands on with Python Scripting language
• ? Understanding of Testing Agile process, other SDLC process
• ? Knowledge of GIT or other software configuration management tools
• ? Knowledge of JIRA or similar bug tracking tools
• ? Strong Communication Skills
