Job summary

BigThinkCode in Chennai is seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to take ownership of quality assurance for distributed services. You will design and implement microservices capable of maintaining automated test plans and execute various testing methodologies including performance and load testing.

We are looking for a Senior Performance test engineer who can take ownership of end-to-end quality assurance, including automation testing, performance testing, stress testing, and platform validation across distributed services.

Must Have Skills

• 3–4 years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing.
• Strong experience with API automation testing tools and frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience in performance/load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, or similar.
• Experience testing distributed systems or microservices architectures.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous systems, and event‑driven architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: Design and implement highly scalable microservices capable of design, develop, and maintain automated test plans, test cases, and QA documentation.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Execute performance, stress, load, scalability, and reliability testing for distributed systems.
• Build automated CI/CD quality gates and testing pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high product quality.

Core Requirements

• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, or ELK stack.
• Foundational exposure testing GenAI applications. Understanding of qualitative frameworks like RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation), prompt injection resilience testing, token latency tracking, or validating model output deterministic drift.
