Responsibilities

• Ensure models satisfy fabrication, erection, shipping, and logistics requirements.
• Configure project-specific connections, numbering systems, and drawing extraction requirements.
• Track submitted areas, model revisions, and numbering status.
• Coordinate with Team Leads and Checkers to maintain modeling quality.
• Support task planning, effort estimation, and mentoring of junior modelers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Tekla modeling activities from drawing study through IFA/IFC deliverables.
• Develop accurate and complex structural and miscellaneous steel models.
• Generate pre-modeling and post-modeling RFIs to resolve technical and design-related issues.
• Ensure models satisfy fabrication, erection, shipping, and logistics requirements.
• Configure project-specific connections, numbering systems, and drawing extraction requirements.
• Track submitted areas, model revisions, and numbering status throughout project execution.
• Coordinate closely with Team Leads and Checkers to maintain modeling quality and constructability.
• Support task planning, effort estimation, and mentoring of junior modelers.

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates must have 4–8+ years of hands‑on Tekla modeling experience, including a minimum of 2 years on Australian steel detailing projects. Experience should include complex structural and miscellaneous steel systems and exposure to fabrication and erection workflows.

Education

Minimum: Typical — Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Preferred: Typical — Relevant structural/steel detailing training

Additional: Tekla Structures certification/training is advantageous (typical)
