Job summary

LINE CONSULTANTS is seeking an experienced Tekla Structures modeller with a strong fabrication background to deliver accurate 3D models and fabrication-ready outputs for industrial steel structures. You will produce GA drawings, shop drawings, bolt plans and erection drawings, while coordinating with engineers and suppliers.

Responsibilities include clash checks, NC/DSTV generation, MTOs, and maintaining model integrity through revisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of steel fabrication detailing experience.

• Experience on industrial projects (Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemical or heavy industrial) preferred.

• Produce GA drawings, assembly and single-part shop drawings, anchor bolt plans and erection drawings.
• Generate fabrication outputs: NC/DSTV files, bills of materials, MTOs and bolt lists.
• Model connections to design inputs and coordinate RFIs with the engineering team.
• Run clash checks and coordinate with piping, mechanical and E&I models (Navisworks / SP3D / PDMS exports).
• Incorporate client and vendor comments and manage drawing revisions.
• Check models and drawings for fabrication and erection practicality.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Tekla Structures modeller with a strong fabrication background to produce accurate 3D models and fabrication‑ready deliverables for industrial steel structures.

• Build and maintain detailed Tekla Structures models for pipe racks, technological structures, platforms, shelters, equipment supports and modules
• Produce GA drawings, assembly and single‑part shop drawings, anchor bolt plans and erection drawings
• Generate fabrication outputs: NC/DSTV files, bills of materials, MTOs and bolt lists
• Model connections to design inputs and coordinate RFIs with the engineering team
• Run clash checks and coordinate with piping, mechanical and E&I models (Navisworks / SP3D / PDMS exports)
• Incorporate client and vendor comments and manage drawing revisions

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in steel fabrication detailing, with strong hands‑on Tekla Structures modelling
• Experience on industrial projects (Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemical or heavy industrial) preferred
• Sound knowledge of fabrication and erection practice: welding, bolting, tolerances, galvanising and painting
• Familiarity with AISC, BS, IS and Eurocode detailing conventions
• Experience producing NC files and fabrication reports
• Able to work independently to deadlines with attention to accuracy
• Good written and spoken English

• Experience with modular structures and transport frames
