Job summary

Polyhose in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is looking for a shop floor operator to execute production tasks as per the daily plan. You will set and monitor machine parameters, load materials, perform in-process quality checks, and maintain housekeeping.

You will support machine changeovers, report deviations, and help drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives. candidacy requires reliability and adherence to safety norms on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Set, monitor, and control machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and cycle time.
• Ensure production is carried out as per the daily production plan and assigned targets.
• Load raw materials and components correctly and monitor the process during operation.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and identify defects, abnormalities, or process deviations.
• Maintain product quality while minimizing rejection, rework, and material wastage.
• Perform basic machine checks, cleaning, and routine housekeeping activities.
• Support machine changeover, setting, tooling, and adjustment activities.
• Report machine breakdowns, process deviations, and quality issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of production, rejection, downtime, and process parameters.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, 5S practices, and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve process- and machine-related issues.
• Participate in Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure proper handling and utilization of raw materials, tools, and equipment.
• Support actions to improve productivity, quality, safety, and machine efficiency.
