Job summary

Polyhose in India is seeking a shift production supervisor to oversee the assigned section, align with the production schedule, and drive smooth operations.

You will monitor output, ensure quality and safety, supervise operators and technicians, and coordinate with maintenance and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Execute shift production plans for the assigned section in accordance with the production schedule.
• Monitor production output against planned targets and take corrective actions to address operational deviations.
• Supervise operators and technicians to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
• Allocate manpower effectively based on production priorities and operational requirements.
• Monitor critical process parameters and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Execution Standards (SWES).
• Ensure product quality and conformity at every stage of the manufacturing process.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety policies, machine safety standards, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Identify, report, and promptly escalate unsafe conditions, near misses, and safety incidents.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive maintenance activities and timely resolution of equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate shift records, including production output, downtime, rejection, scrap, machine performance, and other operational metrics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and workplace safety.
• Coordinate with Quality, Planning, and other cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted production and timely issue resolution.
