Role Description The Senior Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Tiruchirappalli. The Senior Technician will perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on cars, bikes, and trucks, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, recommending repair solutions, and completing service tasks within agreed timelines. The role also involves mentoring junior technicians, maintaining accurate service records, coordinating with service advisors on job estimates, and communicating clearly with customers about vehicle conditions and repairs. The Senior Technician is expected to follow company procedures, adhere to regulatory and safety guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of workshop operations.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance for multi-brand vehicles.
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems, engine performance, brake and suspension systems, and use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to interpret service manuals, technical diagrams, and digital diagnostic reports, and apply them to complex repair tasks.
• Demonstrated skills in mentoring and guiding junior technicians, including quality checking their work and supporting skill development.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and customers, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, simple terms.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety practices, and ability to manage multiple service jobs in a fast-paced workshop.
• Relevant vocational certification or diploma in automotive engineering or a related field; advanced training or manufacturer certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead technician role in an automotive workshop or service center is highly preferred.
