Job summary

LANSON TOYOTA in Chennai, Tamil Nadu invites skilled automotive technicians to join our service team. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs per manufacturer guidelines, ensuring quality and timely turnaround.

A background in automobile engineering with hands-on repair experience is preferred, along with familiarity with diagnostic tools and workshop equipment. The role requires strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and a willingness to learn new technologies and service

Qualifications

  • ITI/Diploma in Automobile Engineering
  • 03 years of experience in automobile service and repairs (Freshers with relevant technical knowledge are also welcome)
  • Basic understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with workshop tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and manufacturer service procedures
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler driving license is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out periodic maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacement, brake inspection, and fluid top-ups.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective vehicle parts and components.
  • Ensure all jobs are completed within the assigned turnaround time while maintaining quality standards.
  • Conduct road tests (if authorized) to verify repairs and vehicle performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by following workshop safety procedures.
  • Accurately record job details and update service records.
  • Coordinate with Service Advisors and Team Leaders regarding repair status and additional work requirements.
  • Follow company policies, safety regulations, and manufacturer service standards.
