Job summary

Cyient Limited is seeking a Senior SME / Technical Manager – Aerostructures to provide technical leadership across aircraft structural analysis, certification, and engineering delivery programs. You will guide teams, engage with customers, and drive engineering excellence in commercial and military aircraft structures.

The role requires deep expertise in static stress, fatigue & damage tolerance, fracture mechanics, and metallic/composite structures, with hands-on experience using major FEA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 15+ years of hands-on Aerostructures/Stress Analysis experience.
• Experience leading global technical teams on OEM programs and customer-facing efforts.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural substantiation activities for metallic and composite aircraft structures.
• Perform and review static strength, fatigue & damage tolerance (F&DT), repair, and certification analyses.
• Provide technical guidance on fuselage, wing, empennage, nacelle, and flight control structures.
• Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA certification requirements, MMPDS, HSB, Bruhn, and Niu methodologies.
• Lead FEM-based structural assessments using tools such as Nastran, Patran, HyperMesh, Abaqus, and ANSYS.
• Support customer engagements, technical proposals, project estimations, and design reviews.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive capability development, best practices, and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of hands-on experience in Aerostructures/Stress Analysis.
• Strong expertise in: Static Stress AnalysisFatigue & Damage ToleranceFracture MechanicsMetallic & Composite StructuresStructural CertificationFinite Element Analysis (FEA)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Aircraft OEM programs.
