Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies in Bengaluru seeks an experienced software engineer to design, build, and scale backend services using Scala/Java/Python, with a strong focus on microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native AWS.

You will work in Agile teams, drive software quality, participate in CI/CD, and collaborate with product teams to deliver resilient APIs and observable distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 10 to 18 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Proficient in Scala (Pekko/Akka, Cats, Cats Effect) and/or Java or preferably Python.
• Experience with Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience designing and scaling microservice architectures.
• Building and maintaining high-performance, resilient APIs.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Cloud-native development on AWS.
• Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience working in Agile product development teams.
