Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience with Java; tech lead or senior-level exposure.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Microservices and distributed systems.”
• Hands-on with Apache Kafka (topics, partitions, schema registry).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Java Tech Lead to drive the design and delivery of scalable backend platforms using Microservices architecture and Apache Kafka. The role requires working in a fast-paced, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable backend systems using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
• Drive development of microservices and event-driven systems using Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming
• Take ownership of end-to-end technical delivery, ensuring projects are completed within deadlines
• Mentor and guide development teams, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices and coding standards
• Design and implement distributed system patterns for scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to accelerate coding, optimize solutions, and improve engineering efficienc
• Manage and optimize relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) including schema design and performance tuning
• Oversee deployment and monitoring of applications on Azure cloud using Docker and Kubernetes
• Define and implement CI/CD pipelines to enable faster and reliable releases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize, plan, and deliver features on time
• Handle production issues, critical releases, and performance optimization in fast-paced environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in backend development with Java , including tech lead or senior-level experience
• Strong expertise in: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Microservices and distributed systems architecture
• Hands-on experience with: Apache Kafka (topics, partitions, consumer groups, schema registry)
• Event-driven and message-based architectures
• Strong proficiency in: RESTful APIs, JSON, asynchronous communication
• Experience with: Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Strong database experience: MySQL / PostgreSQL, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Proven ability to deliver projects under timelines and high-pressure situations
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar GenAI tools for code generation, debugging, documentation, and automation
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
