Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in senior technical roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python/Django, Java/Spring Boot, and AWS.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, system architecture, governance, and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Own technical architecture and end-to-end delivery for assigned products/streams.
• Lead architecture reviews covering system design, API contracts, data modelling, and service boundaries.
• Develop backend services and microservices with Python/Django and Java/Spring Boot.
• Drive inter-service communication using REST, gRPC, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Guide teams on ORM optimisation, DRF, Celery, authentication, and secure coding practices.
• Define and govern AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment automation.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and cost-optimised.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, one-on-ones, and knowledge sharing.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Python/Django, Java/Spring Boot, and AWS , along with proven experience in technical leadership, system architecture, engineering governance, production support, and team mentoring .

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical architecture and design decisions from ideation to production .
• Conduct architecture reviews covering system design, API contracts, data modelling, and service boundaries .
• Lead development of backend services, REST/GraphQL APIs, and data-processing pipelines using Python & Django .
• Architect and develop Java/Spring Boot microservices and enterprise integrations .
• Drive inter-service communication using REST, gRPC, Kafka, or RabbitMQ .
• Guide teams on Django ORM optimisation, DRF serializers, Celery, authentication, and secure coding practices.
• Apply Spring ecosystem best practices including Dependency Injection, Spring Security, JPA, Spring Cloud, and Actuator .
• Define and govern AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment automation .
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimised .
• Lead production incident management, RCA, postmortems, and corrective actions .
• Drive engineering best practices including SOLID principles, design patterns, clean code, testing, and documentation .
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, 1:1s, knowledge sharing, and pairing sessions .
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and DevOps teams on roadmaps, estimations, priorities, and delivery .
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and proactively identify delivery risks and technical dependencies.
