Job summary

Fixotec Pipe Supports Pvt. Ltd. in Thane invites a Senior Technical Design Engineer to lead the design team, coordinate with production and procurement, and ensure compliant, safe modular MEP solutions for projects.

Role involves design calculations, drawing validation, BIM coordination, and delivering projects end-to-end with strong emphasis on standards and documentation. Candidates should have 5+ years in related design roles and be ready to grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical / Civil Engineering.
• More than 5 years of experience.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD / REVIT (Navisworks is a plus) and Structural Softwares.
• Willingness to learn and grow in MEP Modular support system field.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing design team assigned and ensuring timely completion of all design activities.
• Preparing, reviewing, and approving product drawings, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOQ’s
• Ensuring that all designs adhere to industry standards, safety guidelines, internal specifications, and client requirements.
• Coordinating with Production, Procurement, Sales and Quality teams for smooth project execution.
• Providing technical support to customers and internal teams, including design clarifications and site related queries.
• Developing and implementing design standards, drafting procedures and best practices for the assigned design team.
• Supervising, guiding and allocating tasks to the assigned design team and supporting their performance development.
• Maintaining accuracy, documentation, and version control of all design files and technical documents.
• Maintaining complete documentation throughout the design process, including design drawings, technical specifications, bills of materials, and other relevant records.
• Preparing reports, submittals, and presentations to communicate design concept, project progress and recommendations to management and project stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting issues that arise during the construction or installation phase and coordinating with the construction team to ensure effective resolution and smooth integration of MEP systems within buildings
• Driving product improvement initiatives and contributing to new design developments
• Submitting regular projects updates, reports and requirements related to the assigned design team to management.
• Creating efficient, safe and cost effective modular support solutions by combining your knowledge of MEP systems, structural engineering principles and design expertise
