Job summary

Valtech is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Cloud IT Infra in Bangalore. You will set up Azure/AWS cloud resources or on‑prem environments for internal software projects, and collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot issues across Windows, Linux, and cloud services.

You’ll manage AD/Azure networking, patching, security hardening, and license tracking while leveraging Terraform, AKS, App Service, and DevOps tools in a dynamic, learning‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Around 5–10 years of relevant Cloud IT Infrastructure experience.
• Strong hands‑on with Azure/AWS and networking concepts.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, Intune, Defender, and backup/storage tooling.

Responsibilities

• Set up Azure/AWS cloud or on‑prem environments for internal projects.
• Troubleshoot and provide expert IT support for Azure, AWS, Windows/Linux servers.
• Administer Windows Server, Linux, Intune, Defender, Jamf; manage AD & Azure networking.
• Hardening, patch management, and routine security tasks for servers.
• Coordinate with IT teams to address cloud/server issues and document reports.
• Manage software licenses and subscriptions tracking.

Role responsibilities

Setting up of Azure/ AWS cloud or On‑premises IT resources/environments for internal software development projects.

Co‑ordinate with internal project users to troubleshoot and provide expert‑level technical support to resolve issues related to Azure, AWS, Windows/ Linux servers.

Provide system administration and technical support on Windows Server, Linux, Intune, Defender, Rapid7, MacOS, Jamf with advanced skills on Windows Active Directory & Azure networking.

Hands on with Windows server security hardening and patch management.

Intermediate skills on LAN/WAN, WiFi, Internet troubleshooting.

Co‑ordinate with other local and global IT team members to address Cloud, servers or application support issues & document and prepare reports as per internal IT processes.

Software & subscription license assignment, tracking and verification.

Hands‑on with Troubleshooting, Problem Resolution, Upgradation & Maintenance

Hands‑on experience with Azure, AWS, Terraform, AKS Cluster, App Service, SAML, Azure DevOps, Azure Networking & Storage, Microsoft Azure Backup Service or other data backup software.

Work experience on Windows Server, Linux, MacOS, SQL DB, MS Defender, MS Intune & Rapid7.

Hands‑on with GitHub, MS Autopilot, MS Office 356, Azure AD/ Entra tools.

Basic network & Internet access troubleshooting from Windows, Linux, MacOS.

Pre‑requisites

Around 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience as Cloud IT Support Engineer.

Good business communication (written/spoken English) & coordination skills to work with IT teams.

Good customer service skills with clear communication, active listening, patience & adaptability that are essential for building positive customer relationships and resolving issues effectively.

Eager to learn new things, contribute as a team player, collaborate and explore ways to resolve technical problems quickly or provide work‑arounds.

Proactive in problem‑solving, result‑oriented and takes responsibility & delivers to the assigned IT tasks.

Certifications related to Azure, Windows Server, Backup/ Storage & Networking will be preferred.

Education

BTech/BE/BCA/BSc/Diploma/Other.
