Job summary

Quess, Hyderabad-based, seeks an experienced middleware engineer to install, monitor, and optimize messaging and file-transfer platforms such as IBM MQ and RabbitMQ. You will work on securing access, managing certificates, and automating tasks with shell scripts.

The role involves configuring monitoring and alerting dashboards with Elastic Stack and, where needed, integrating metrics with Prometheus and Grafana.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, monitoring, improving, and troubleshooting middleware platforms.
• Solid knowledge of file transfer and messaging systems such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ.
• Experience with security and user management (SSH, certificates).

Responsibilities

Expertise in messaging systems: IBM MQ Series, RabbitMQ, or Omegamon for MQ

• Strong knowledge of file transfer solutions: XFB Gateway, CFT, MFT/Globalscape,

SecureTransport, Sentinel

• Be able to use file transfer protocols: FTP, SFTP, PESIT, AS2, etc.
• Ability to install, monitor, improve, and troubleshoot middleware platforms
• Solid knowledge of user management and system security (SSH, certificates, access control)
• Good scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell or equivalent) for automation
• Good experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for dashboarding,

metrics, and alerting

• Ability to build custom monitoring dashboards and configure alerts for middleware

components

PREFERRED TECHNICAL COMPENTENCIES

• Knowledge with Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools is a plus
• Operating Systems & Tools
• Knowledge in Linux/Unix systems administration
• Experience with Windows Server environments
• Basic knowledge of mainframe (JCL, z/OS) is a plus
• Understanding of Kubernetes is a strong asset
