Job summary

Alaric Ventures is seeking a Senior System Administrator to manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, Azure services, and Exchange migrations. You will drive on-prem to cloud transitions, maintain AD, DNS/DHCP, and security posture while delivering excellent client-facing support across channels.

The role requires hands-on experience with Azure AD, Office 365 migrations, firewalls, VPNs, and network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Windows server upgrades/migrations.
• Experience performing Domain Controller upgrades and troubleshooting group policy implementations.
• Hands-on Exchange to Office 365 migrations.
• Experience with on-prem to cloud (Azure) migrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding client-facing IT support via phone, email, and remote assistance.
• Lead and manage multiple migration and upgrade projects from design to implementation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, and Exchange environments.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and ensure secure, scalable network infrastructures.
• Proactively monitor systems and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

Job description

Position Overview:

As an integral part of our Managed Services team, the Senior System Administrator specializes in troubleshooting complete infrastructures, including wired, Wi-Fi, and security frameworks, with a strong focus on Windows servers, Azure, Firewall, Office 365, Exchange server, Backups and Networking. This role requires a proactive, self-starting individual who can manage multiple projects from design through implementation, effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences, and drive projects to successful completion. This highly client-facing position demands excellent service skills across phone, email, and remote assistance platforms, and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.

Required skills:

• Immediate joiners are preferred.
• The candidate should have hands-on experience on windows servers upgrades/migrations.
• Perform Domain controller upgrades and troubleshoot group policy implementation.
• Hands on experience on Exchange servers to Office 365 migrations projects.
• Hands on experience on Prem to cloud migrations (Azure) migrations projects.
• Must have hands on experience on Azure and Azure AD.
• Working knowledge of Firewalls, VPN Technologies, Network Routers, Wi-Fi Access points and Port forwarding.
• Sound understanding of DNS, DHCP servers, MDM Intune.
• Good Interpersonal and client handing skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and Analytical skills.

Education and/or Experience:

• Any Technical qualifications (BCA, Btech, B.Sc IT).
• Desirable Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) and MCSA certifications
• Preferably AZ900/AZ104 certification.
• Cisco CCNA / CCNP certification is highly valued.
