Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain in Bengaluru to lead strategic procurement for non-product and indirect spend. You will drive supplier evaluation, negotiations, and governance, delivering cost savings and process improvements while ensuring SOX compliance and auditable controls.

The role requires building a robust supplier base, cross-functional leadership, and managing multiple indirect categories including facilities, labor, and professional services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations or related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for non-product and indirect spend categories.
• Lead SCM team and manage full procurement lifecycle: RFQ/RFP, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contracting, POs, and supplier performance management.
• Identify savings, cost avoidance, and process improvements; deliver value optimization.
• Develop category strategies aligned with business needs; manage supplier onboarding and due diligence.
• Manage supplier relationships and governance; monitor performance against SLAs, KPIs, quality, cost and service requirements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, SOX controls, audit requirements, and proper documentation.

Job Description

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for non-product and indirect spend categories.
• Lead SCM team and complete procurement lifecycle, including RFQ/RFP, supplier identification, evaluation, due diligence, negotiations, contracting, purchase orders, and supplier performance management.
• Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, process improvements, and value optimization opportunities.
• Develop category strategies aligned with business and operational requirements.
• Lead supplier evaluation, qualification, onboarding, and due diligence.
• Develop and maintain an approved and competitive supplier base.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and establish effective vendor governance.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs, quality, cost, and service requirements.
• Identify supplier risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
• Manage procurement across multiple indirect categories, including: Contingent Labour / Manpower Services, Facilities Management,Engineering proto type & Maintenance, Professional Services, Logistics & Transportation
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, approval matrices, and audit requirements.
• Ensure adherence to SOX compliance and internal control requirements.
• Maintain appropriate procurement documentation and controls.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract finalization with suppliers.
• Monitor contractual compliance and supplier obligations.
• Analyze procurement spend.
• Prepare management reports covering spend, savings, supplier performance, procurement pipeline, and key risks.
• Drive digitalization, automation, and standardization of procurement processes.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or related field preferred.
