Title: Senior Subcontracts Administrator Job Title : Senior Subcontracts Administrator
Summary Section Performs full range of project subcontracting activities associated with subcontracting work. Qualifies suppliers, issues requests for proposals, evaluates proposals, conducts commercial & contractual negotiations, maintains subcontract files in accordance with established procedures. Oversees and performs the full range of administration activities associated with subcontracting including but not limited to invoice verification & processing, variations, claims on a project. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and performs complete life cycle of pre and post award subcontracting activities including close outs associated with subcontracting work on projects
- Works in accordance with approved work methods & procedures
- Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks.
- Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices.
- May direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 5+ Years of overall experience
- Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of graduation and 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to work independently
- Must be able to read and understand contracts and to handle negotiations with the bidders based on internal procedures and project expectations
- Able to efficiently coordinate with internal & external stakeholders and work towards placement of project subcontracts as per plans and budgets
- Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications specifically: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
- Expertise to interface well with the project engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and other members of the project team including the client.
- Basic understanding of project execution and implementation of project activities, with strong attention to detail and strong acumen for growth and development.
