Job summary

Education Matters (ED-MAT) in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Study Abroad Consultant to provide end-to-end guidance on course and university selection, destination options, and application strategies. This on-site role engages with students and families through counseling sessions, both one-on-one and in groups, to map clear study pathways abroad.

You will oversee application preparation, document checks, visa and scholarship advice, CRM data entry, and coordination with partner universities.

Qualifications

• Experience in study abroad counseling or international education consulting.
• 5+ years in international education consulting is necessary.
• Knowledge of study destinations including UK, Ireland, UAE, Australia, and NZ.
• On-site Hyderabad work environment with client-centric approach.
• Proficiency with application processes, documentation checks, and visa basics.

Responsibilities

Role Description

• The Senior Study Abroad Consultant will provide end-to-end guidance to students seeking international education opportunities, including counseling on course and university selection, destination options, and application strategies.
• This full-time, on-site role in Hyderabad involves meeting students and families, conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, and presenting clear pathways for academic and career development abroad.
• The consultant will oversee application preparation, documentation checks, and coordination with universities and partners, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Daily responsibilities include conducting eligibility assessments, advising on standardized tests, scholarships, and financial planning, and supporting students through admission, visa preparation, and pre-departure briefings.
• The role also includes maintaining CRM records, participating in outreach events, staying updated on global education trends, and mentoring junior team members to uphold service quality.

Qualifications

• Study Destination: Knowledge of the UK, Ireland, UAE, Australia, and/or New Zealand-
• Demonstrated expertise in student counseling, academic advising, or study abroad consulting, with the ability to guide learners on programs, destinations, visa and universities.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and institutional partners.
• Experience with application processes, documentation review, and basic visa and compliance requirements for major study destinations.
• Proficiency in using office productivity tools and CRM or counseling management systems to track student progress and manage data.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, mentor junior staff, and manage multiple cases with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Prior experience of over 5 years in international education consulting is necessary.
• Up-to-date knowledge of global higher education trends, admissions practices, and scholarship opportunities.
• Comfort working in an on-site, student-facing environment in Hyderabad , with a client-centric mindset and high professional ethics.
