Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Study Abroad to lead our counseling vertical. This leadership role involves end-to-end ownership of the admissions journey, profile-building programs, and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Strategize: Drive the complete study-abroad counseling process—university shortlisting, timelines, essays/SOPs, interviews, scholarships.
• Profile Building: Design and oversee customized profile-building roadmaps (competitions, internships, research, community projects) to strengthen student applications.
• Business Development: Expand MLC’s reach by cultivating school partnerships, parent networks, and referral channels; represent MLC at education fairs and industry events.
• Mentor & Grow: Recruit, train, and manage counselors and interns, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Build Systems: Standardize processes, implement CRMs, and create counselor playbooks for a seamless student experience.
• Engage Stakeholders: Run parent/student meetings, webinars, and workshops; liaise with schools and universities.
• Measure Outcomes: Track offers, scholarships, and pipeline metrics to improve success rates.

What We’re Looking For

• 8–12 years of experience in study-abroad counseling or university admissions.
• In-depth knowledge of US, UK, Canada, Europe admission processes (Common App, UCAS, OUAC, DAAD basics, etc.).
• Exceptional editing skills for essays and SOPs.
• Proven ability to manage 30+ active applications and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
