Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking an Engineer – Underground Structures for Noida/Faridabad offices to design and check underground stations and cut-and-cover tunnels, supporting BIM workflows and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 2–5 years of civil/structural experience, proficiency in STAAD, Sofistik, MIDAS and OASYS, and willingness to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices.

Qualifications

• BE Civil + M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and check underground stations and tunnels (Cut & Cover).
• Prepare reports and calculations per International Codes (EURO, BS, ACI, etc).
• Preparation of estimates for work items.
• Knowledge of working on big multi-disciplinary projects on BIM.
• Ensure compliance with Systra Group policies including safety and ISO standards.

In India, SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros, High Speed Rail, Railways, Roads, Buildings, Urban planning, and Water Infrastructure for public and private organizations.

CTR – Regional Technical Centre of Systra India takes care of the international production of major projects at Systra Group level. CTR team has expertise in design of High-Speed Rail, Metro, Conventional Rail, Bridges, Highways, Depots, Stations and Transport Planning. Starting from Feasibility/Concept stage to Detailed Design to IFC/Shop drawings, the disciplines involved have experience of designing in accordance with various international codes and delivered projects across the world.

CTR team has successfully delivered some major projects in UK, UAE, Tanzania, KSA, Australia, Canada and Denmark. One of the major achievements of India CTR team has been the design of HS2 project in UK. We played an instrumental role in delivering 3 major Sublots on HS2 with our teams proactively engaging with Front Office in UK and delivering beyond client expectations. This resulted in India team receiving many accolades from the contractor BBV and client HS2.

CTR team in India is proficient in working on multi-disciplinary projects integrating Design, BIM and Drawing production in a seamless workflow incorporating different software. The technical and management teams within CTR get an opportunity to work and interact with other CTR teams within Systra Group from Paris, Poland, Dubai, Philippines and Brazil.

We are seeking applications for the position of Engineer – Underground Structures for Noida/Faridabad offices

Missions/Main Duties

• Perform and check the design of Underground stations and Cut and Cover tunnels including both Permanent and Temporary Earth Retaining systems.
• Prepare reports and calculations in line with International Codes of Practice (EURO, BS, ACI, etc).
• Preparation of estimates for work items.
• Knowledge of working on big multi-disciplinary projects on BIM.
• Ensure compliance of the Systra Group policies, particularly on ethics, safety and adherence to Company ISO Standards.

Profile/Skills

• BE-Civil + M.Tech in Structural Engineering (Preferred)
• 2 to 5 years of experience into relevant field.
• Experience on Software requirement STAAD, Sofistick, Midas, Oasys.
• Actively working towards Professional qualification.
• Ability to work in a collaborative multi-discipline design team.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required.
