About the Position
As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust AWS SaaS applications. This role requires close collaboration with data scientists, product managers, and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient and dependable AWS SaaS applications using Python and Kotlin/Java; knowledge of React.js is a plus.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and subject‑matter experts.
- Write code and tests, construct prototypes, solve issues, evaluate and rectify bottlenecks.
- Actively participate in design discussions and provide pivotal input to guide technical resolutions.
- Document design, new processes, RFCs, best practices and methodologies.
- Respond to production issues, work with the rest of the team and resolve problems within the SLA‑defined time.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Python.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Kotlin.
- Minimum 2 years experience with PostgreSQL.
- At least 7 years of experience developing SaaS applications on AWS.
- Extensive experience with scalable API design and development.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in adhering to coding standards and guidelines.
- Expertise in static code analysis, unit testing, and other best practices ensuring high‑quality code delivery.
- Experience with IoT time‑series databases.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Knowledge of the energy industry.
Nice to Have
- Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript based front‑end development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD build pipelines.
- Understanding of DataOps.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (preferred).
- AWS certifications are considered an added advantage.
