Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Maharashtra, India, invites a seasoned Power Electronics Engineer to drive MW-scale solutions for solar inverters, BESS, and industrial drives from concept to production.

You will leverage deep knowledge of DC-AC/DC-DC converters, inverter topologies, and thermal management to design, validate, and optimize systems. You’ll collaborate with suppliers on components and ensure compliance with specs and customer requirements, contributing to cutting-edge energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 10–12 years in high-power electronics development, validation, and manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in power conversion systems and thermal management.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Deep knowledge of DC-AC and DC-DC power conversion for MW-scale industrial apps.
• Inverter topologies for solar inverters and BESS.
• Experience with high-power devices, DC-link capacitors, sensors, gate drivers, protection schemes.
• Thermal modelling, testing, and cooling system design for high-power systems.
• Design and development of subassemblies with suppliers (busbars, heatsinks, PCBAs).
• Design verification, testing, and performance validation per specs and standards.

Power Electronics Engineer

Join us as a Power Electronics Engineer and drive the development of MW-scale solutions for Solar Inverters, BESS, and Industrial Drives. Shape innovative products from concept to production.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Deep knowledge of DC-AC and DC-DC power conversion systems and inverter topologies for industrial high-power applications at the MW level, including solar inverters and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Strong understanding of high-power semiconductor devices, DC-link capacitors, sensors, gate drivers, and power electronics protection schemes.
• Proficient in simulation and design tools, including PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, Ansys and other FEA tools, as well as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and schematic/PCB design software.
• Experienced in thermal modelling, thermal testing, and cooling system design for high-power electronic systems.
• Expertise in the design and development of customised subassemblies and collaboration with suppliers for components such as busbars, heatsinks, and PCBAs.
• Skilled in design verification, testing, and performance validation to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
