Job summary

Stryker in India Gurgaon is seeking a senior software architect to lead the design, architecture, development, integration, and testing of complex software components for medical technologies. You will translate user and clinical needs into robust technical solutions.

You will provide technical leadership and mentorship, drive design decisions and code reviews, and promote engineering best practices, SOLID principles, and scalable architectures across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Modern C++, OOP, SOLID principles, and software architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Qt/QML and Google Test.
• Understanding of SDLC, software quality, testing, and deployment.

What you will do:

• Lead the design, architecture, development, integration, and testing of complex software components and systems, translating user and clinical needs into robust technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, driving design decisions, code reviews, engineering best practices, design patterns, SOLID principles, and high-quality software development.
• Collaborate with R&D cross functional team, Quality and Project Management teams to deliver products through the complete development and release lifecycle.
• Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement through technology exploration, prototyping, process improvements, and contributions to invention disclosures, patents, and technical documentation.

What you need:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Modern C++, OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Experience building scalable, modular, and maintainable software components.
• Hands-on experience with Qt/QML, Google Test (or similar), debugging, code coverage, and analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, software quality, testing, integration, and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, Git, Perforce, or similar version control tools.
• Technical leadership experience, including architecture reviews, mentoring, and regulated software development (medical devices preferred); exposure to 3D mathematics, robotics, navigation, or imaging is a plus.
