Job summary

Stryker in Bengaluru, India, seeks a senior software engineer to design and optimize a high‑performance C++ core, 3D visualization workflows, and modern web interfaces for medical imaging products.

You will own major modules, drive quality with CI/CD and regulatory alignment, mentor teammates, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver scalable, reliable software in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience with HIPAA/IEC 62304 is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline & 10+ years of work experience.
• C++ & multi‑threaded systems experience.
• Medical imaging domain: DICOM, VTK, ITK, 3D modeling pipelines.
• Full‑stack web design with React/Angular and SOA/microservices knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core execution engines and real‑time simulation algorithms using C++ (6+ years).
• 3D Visualization & Virtual Patient Modeling using VTK/ITK and related tooling.
• Modern Web UI & Distributed Architecture with React/JavaScript, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Regulatory Rigor & Data Integrity through IEC 62304/FDA compliance and traceability.
• Agile planning, sprint estimates, and root‑cause analysis to resolve defects.

What you will do:

• High‑Performance C++ application: Design and build core execution engines, real‑time simulation algorithms, and performance‑critical modules using C++ (6+ years required).
• 3D Visualization & Virtual Patient Modeling: Render complex anatomical environments, volumetric DICOM datasets, and dynamic spatial interactions using VTK, ITK, and 3D modeling tools.
• Modern Web UI & Distributed Architecture: Develop responsive, web‑based interfaces and front‑end using React and JavaScript, backed by modular architectures (SOA, microservices, Web APIs) and cloud/database platforms (AWS/Azure, SQL/NoSQL).
• Regulatory Rigor & Data Integrity: Adhere to medical device SDLC standards (IEC 62304/FDA compliance) across the full stack, utilizing ALM tools for complete requirements‑to‑implementation traceability and ensuring HIPAA‑compliant patient data security.
• Agile Planning & Technical Problem Solving: Contribute to high‑level architecture diagrams, sprint task estimations, and resolve production or simulation runtime defects through structured root‑cause analysis.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline & 10+ years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):

Core Technical & Architectural Skills:

• C++ & Desktop Frameworks: 6+ years of hands‑on experience in modern C++, focusing on object‑oriented design patterns and multi‑threaded systems, etc.,
• Full-Stack & Web Architecture: Experience designing Service‑Oriented Architectures (SOA), microservices, and Web APIs using modern client‑side frameworks (Angular, React, JavaScript).
• Medical Imaging Solutions: Practical application of medical domain technologies such as DICOM, VTK, ITK, and 3D modeling pipelines.

Design, Tooling & Quality Assurance:

• Code Analysis & Optimization: Practical application of static/dynamic analysis, dynamic memory inspection, profiling, and code coverage measurement tools.
• Integration & CI/CD: Hands‑on knowledge of modern software integration, build automation, and deployment pipelines.
