Job summary

ShareChat is seeking an experienced software engineer to lead ML infrastructure initiatives, owning the design and delivery of training, inference, and data pipelines powering AI features across feed, chat, and creator ecosystems.

We value 8+ years of software engineering, strong system design, distributed systems expertise, and cloud proficiency. Prior MLOps exposure is a plus. Hybrid work model with ownership of impactful, large-scale systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in system design and distributed systems.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure (training, inference, data pipelines).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern DevOps practices.
• MLOps experience is a meaningful plus but not required for all strong candidates.

Founded in 2015, ShareChat has social media brands such as the ShareChat App and Moj App and micro drama appQuickTV under its portfolio. QuickTV, the newest addition to ShareChat's family of apps, crossed the 10 milliondownloads mark within 3 months of launch and currently has 60Mn MAUs across the network viewing the verticalepisodic content.

Today, the ShareChat network maintains a whopping 1,000 Cr ARR and is India's leading social media platform servicing users across the country in 15 regional languages. This growth has led to a 28% YoY revenue growth in the July-Sept (2025-26) quarter and increased it by more than 60% in the Oct-Dec quarter.

What does the team do?

Serving recommendations to 200+ million users entails developing large-scale personalization and recommendation models that understand user needs and preferences in real-time, while also helping creators grow their audiences on our platforms. A subset of the problems we tackle include:

• Serving personalized feeds for 200+ million users via real-time candidate generators, multi-task prediction models, whole-page optimization, and in-session personalization.
• Nurturing our content and creator ecosystem, and developing models for strategic content valuation.
• Multi-objective balancing and long-term measurement.

Underpinning all of this is a horizontal AI Infrastructure team that owns the systems every product surface depends on — training pipelines, inference infrastructure, and data pipelines spanning feed, chat, and beyond. This is where you come in.

We rely extensively on state-of-the-art ML around personalization, deep learning, causal inference, optimization, ranking and recommendation.

Who you are?

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, though we care more about the depth and quality of what you've built than a rigid headcount of years — fast progressors are very much welcome.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: system design, distributed systems, and building for scale and reliability.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale infrastructure — training pipelines, inference systems, data pipelines, or adjacent domains.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern DevOps practices.
• Comfortable working as a senior individual contributor, owning complex problems end-to-end with minimal hand-holding.
• MLOps experience or prior work managing inference workloads at scale is a meaningful plus, but a strong generalist engineer without that specific background is equally considered.
• An appetite to grow into a Tech Lead Manager capacity over time — this is a bonus, not a requirement on day one.

• Code Reviews: Hold a high bar for code quality and system correctness through thorough, constructive reviews.
• Innovation: Stay close to how the field is evolving — in ML infrastructure, tooling, and systems design — and bring that perspective to the problems in front of you.
• Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of your work, from initial design through production and ongoing operation.
