Job summary

ShareChat (Mohalla Tech Pvt Ltd) is seeking a product-focused professional with a strong background in B2C. The role emphasizes building AI-native features, owning end-to-end lifecycle of modules, and delivering data-driven improvements using SQL and Python.

You will translate ideas into working demos, work with cross-functional teams, and research regional user needs to inform product strategy. A hybrid work culture and ESOPs are part of the offering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a B2C consumer-facing product role.
• Strong SQL proficiency to analyze user behavior.
• Understanding of APIs, feed ranking, and AI models at a high level.

Responsibilities

• AI-native product building: prototype ideas with AI tools and build MVPs or internal tools.
• Lead end-to-end ownership of product modules (e.g., Feed, Chatrooms, Creator Tools, or Gifting).
• Drive data-driven decisions using SQL and Python; define and track North Star metrics.
• Conduct deep-dive user research to understand regional pain points beyond data.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.

ShareChat (Mohalla Tech Pvt Ltd) is India's largest homegrown social media company and the only local player to achieve profitability in the industry, with 200+ million Monthly Monetizable Users across all its platforms.

Founded in 2015, ShareChat has social media brands such as the ShareChat App and Moj App and micro drama app QuickTV under its portfolio. QuickTV, the newest addition to ShareChat's family of apps, crossed the 10 million downloads mark within 3 months of launch and currently has 60Mn MAUs across the network viewing the vertical episodic content.

Today, the ShareChat network maintains a whopping 1,000 Cr ARR and is India's leading social media platform servicing users across the country in 15 regional languages. This growth has led to a 28% YoY revenue growth in the July-Sept (2025-26) quarter and increased it by more than 60% in the Oct-Dec quarter.

What You'll Do

AI-Native Product Building (Must-Have): You are not just a spec writer — you are a builder. You should be able to independently:

• Prototype ideas using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, no-code tools, lightweight scripts)
• Build quick MVPs, experiments, or internal tools to validate hypotheses
• Use AI for rapid iteration across UX, content generation, and decisioning
• Translate vague ideas into working demos before engineering bandwidth is allocated

Feature Ownership: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of specific product modules (e.g., Feed, Chatrooms, Creator Tools, or Gifting).

Data-Driven Decisions: Use SQL and Python to dive deep into user behavior. You will be responsible for defining, tracking, and moving North Star metrics.

User Empathy: Conduct deep-dive research into regional user personas. You must be humble enough to talk to users and understand pain points that aren't visible in the data.

Agile Execution: Translate product strategy into PRDs (Product Requirement Documents), wireframes, and user stories. Work daily with engineers and designers to ensure high-quality, high-speed delivery.

Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Content Operations, Marketing, and Revenue to align feature launches with business goals.

Who You Are

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a B2C product organisation in a consumer-facing role.
• First Principles Thinking: You don't follow "best practices" blindly. You break problems down to their core units and reason upward.
• Background: You come from a high-scale B2C product organisation and you thrive in chaos and ambiguity.
• Analytical Rigor: Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL is mandatory. You should be able to turn ambiguous problems into measurable metrics.
• Technical Literacy: While you don't need to code, you must understand how APIs, Feed Ranking algorithms, and AI models work at a high level.
• Execution Mindset: A "bias for action." You prefer a launched product that can be iterated upon over a perfect plan that never sees the light of day.
• Language & Culture: An understanding of India's diverse cultural and linguistic landscape is a massive plus.
