Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Solution Delivery Architect to ensure the stability and efficient operation of Windows-based information systems. You will install, configure, and support Windows servers (physical and virtual), design VMware-based architectures, and drive migration activities with IT teams.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership to improve performance and security across the infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree with 10+ years of related experience.
• Windows OS administration with 8+ years hands-on experience.
• VMware administration with 4+ years.
• Linux administration with 4+ years (RHEL).
• Ability to manage multiple projects, resources, priorities and timelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with system configuration automation (Perl/Python/Bash, DevOps tools).
• ITIL Foundations certification is a plus.
• Preferred certifications: MCITP/MCSE/MCSA/MCP, VCP, RHCE.

Responsibilities

• Understand server hardware components including blades and enclosures.

• Coordinate, monitor, and communicate status and activities.
• Lead end-to-end migration activities with application owners and infra managers.
• Provide after-hours support for migration execution and issue escalation.
• Mentor operations staff in appropriate technologies.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and DR exercises.
• Develop guidelines for systems management and process improvements.
• Monitor and tune systems to identify bottlenecks.

Job Description

The Senior Solution Delivery Architect will ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions and Ensono Clients. Responsibilities will include monitoring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all operating systems assigned. This person will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems. A passion for improving processes and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full knowledge to Install, config, and support Windows-based servers, both physical and virtualand configure high availability compute solutions supporting business critical functions. Experience with Microsoft Clustering, DFS.


• Possess a full understanding of server hardware components, including blades, enclosures and/or physical servers


• Working with IT teams to improve infrastructure performance and security


• Implementing Windows system updates and Active Directory changes


• Design and documentation and maintaining for Windows & VMware based systems.


• Responsible for overall migration planning of IT infrastructure & implementation of migration waves.


• Responsible for coordinating, monitoring and communicating status and activities


• Tracks, mitigates, resolves and escalates systematic and individual migration issues as required, handles end to end implementation of migration activities


• Work with application owners and infrastructure managers for pre-migration and migration activities


• Available after hours and on weekends for migration execution status reporting and issue escalation


• Be able to create simple automation scripts using PowerShell or other scripting language like VBS, Python, Bash


• Experience on VMware ESXI host and vCenter installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining tools to support VMware services, can make decisions about resource allocation and optimization.


• Hands on experience on VMware and Experience on P2V/V2V Migration and Datacenter Consolidation


• Knowledge of DR and VM migrations setup using Zerto, vCloud Director Availability & VMware SRM.


• Good understanding of network protocols and tools used to troubleshoot issues


• Participate in primary design meetings for Client disaster recovery planning & execution of Disaster Recovery exercises and own specific server tasks.


• Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS.


• Design and implement advanced network configurations within the virtual server configuration


• Knowledgeable with network design, components and computer systems interactions


• Research system vulnerabilities and provide documentation for future use implementing corrective actions as required


• Develop guidelines and procedures for systems management including process and efficiency improvements


• Monitor and tune systems to identify and eliminate issues and potential bottlenecks


• Design and implement advanced network configurations within the virtual server configuration

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10+ years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience; or equivalent work experience


• Operating Systems Windows 8+ years hands on administration of Windows OS environments and/or


• VMware 4+ years hands on administration of VMware environments and/or


• Linux 4+ years hands on administration with RHEL or other Linux environments


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to include resources, priorities, and timelines


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Results oriented team player who will work towards meeting team commitments


• Experience with system configuration automation (Scripting with Pearl/Python/Bash or DevOps tools like Chef/Puppet)


• Ability to mentor technical operations staff in appropriate technologies, as needed


• Understanding of the competitive landscape from both business and technical perspective is a plus


• Professional ITIL Foundations Certified is a plus


• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified IT Professional ﴾MCITP﴿ / Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) / Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) / Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) / VMware Certified Professional – VCP / Red Hat Certified Engineer
