Consultant – System Administrator (On‑Prem Server Infrastructure) to manage, maintain, and optimize our on‑premise server ecosystem. The role requires hands‑on Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V), Active Directory, GPO management, SAN/NAS storage, and backup tools. You will handle server setup, patching, performance tuning, DR readiness, and ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years of hands-on system administration experience in on-prem server infrastructure.
• Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, and storage vendor certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Manage virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi/vCenter or Hyper-V.
• Perform server patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
• Manage SAN/NAS storage and backup/recovery tools; test DR readiness.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot server/virtualization/storage issues; perform RCA.

We are looking for a skilled Consultant / Sr. Consultant – System Administrator (On‑Prem Server Infrastructure) to manage, maintain, and optimize our on‑premise server ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Windows Servers, VMware/Hyper‑V virtualization, Active Directory & GPO management, SAN/NAS storage, and Backup tools. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Server & Infrastructure Management

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Manage virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi / vCenter or Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Perform server patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.

Active Directory & Identity Management

• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Manage user accounts, security groups, and domain policies.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.

Storage & Backup Management

• Manage enterprise storage systems including SAN and NAS solutions.
• Configure and monitor backup and recovery tools to ensure data integrity.
• Perform routine backup checks, restore testing, and DR readiness.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to servers, virtualization, AD, and storage.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring infrastructure issues.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

Documentation & Process Excellence

• Maintain accurate documentation for server builds, configurations, and SOPs.
• Contribute to infrastructure optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

• Windows Server Administration (2012/2016/2019/2022)
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO Management
• SAN/NAS Storage Administration (any enterprise storage platform)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in system administration and on‑prem server infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications are a plus:
