Job summary

Cordis Technology LLC is seeking a Software QA Engineer to analyze requirements, design test plans, and execute manual and automation testing from our Bengaluru center. You will engage with product and development teams to ensure quality, validate defect fixes, and maintain automation assets using open source tools.

The role requires 3–5 years of testing experience, a CS-related degree, strong knowledge of QA methodologies, and hands-on automation experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years overall software test experience
• College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Expertise in testing knowledge/skills (manual, automation, functional, nonfunctional, performance)
• Hands on Experience in Black Box Testing, Performance testing, Regression, Load Testing
• Experience in working on Open source tools
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Sound knowledge of test methodologies in SDLC

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review and understand software requirements for testing

Job description

• Analyze, Review and understand software requirement for manual and automation testability
• Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
• Validate defect fixes; analyze impact of the fixes and the issue to closure.
• Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases
• Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
• Execute and analysis automation test results.
• Document, track and elevate issues as appropriate, using Quality Center or similar tools/means
• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Update test cases based on the discovered defects
• Update test automation based on the updated test cases
• Provide inputs to the team in order to improve the test process
• Log own time in the project management software or time tracking system
• Report work progress and any problems faced to the Test Lead or Project Manager as required
• Monitor all team members and provide necessary advice and guidance.
• Coach team members and motivate them to produce desired results.

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Strong work experience in development and/or testing role.
• Hands on Experience in Black Box Testing, Performance testing, Regression, Load Testing.
• Experience in working on Open source tools.
• Proven working experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Technical background and an understanding of the Automation industry
• Knowledge of automated testing tools
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
• Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated
• Ability to take proactive steps in managing problems.

Desired Skills & Experience:
