Job summary

Firebytes Technology India is seeking a Senior Software QA Tester to lead testing across mobile and web apps. You will design and execute tests for Android, iOS, and responsive web, validate APIs, and ensure quality across releases.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver robust products. The candidate should have 6-8+ years in QA, strong knowledge of STLC/SDLC, and experience with defect tracking, SQL validation, and test automation tools.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of QA experience across mobile and web platforms.
• Hands-on testing of Android, iOS, and responsive Web apps.
• REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or TestRail.
• Strong SQL/database validation and analytical communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing for Android, iOS, and Web applications.
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
• Verify mobile-specific features such as push notifications, Bluetooth, NFC, biometrics, camera, location services, and background processes.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, to ensure product quality.
• Support UAT, release validation, production verification, and regression testing.
• Prepare QA documentation, including test reports, release reports, and defect summaries.
• Ensure applications meet quality, usability, performance, and security standards.

6-8+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance, with hands-on experience testing Android, iOS, and Web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing for Android, iOS, and Web applications.
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business requirements.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Familiarity with mobile application deployment processes (Google Play Store and Apple App Store).
• Basic understanding of security and performance testing.
