Job summary

Esyasoft Technologies Private Limited is seeking a QA Tester to join our Bengaluru team to ensure the quality of smart meter applications and AMI systems. You will design test cases, execute manual and automated tests, and verify data accuracy across meter data management and billing workflows.

Join a collaborative team focusing on defect tracking, regression testing, and successful production deployments. 2-5 years experience in testing and familiarity with JIRA/Azure DevOps will be valued

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in Smart Meter, Utility, Energy domains is desirable.
• Familiarity with meter operations, billing systems, and field service processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements for smart meter applications and systems.
• Prepare, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform Functional, System Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate smart meter data, meter communication, and billing-related workflows.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and O&M teams to resolve issues.
• Support production deployments and post-release validation activities.
• Prepare test reports and provide regular quality status updates.
• Ensure system reliability and data accuracy within Smart Meter and AMI environments.

Requirements

• Exposure to Test Automation frameworks , Java, Selenium , Playwright , BDD, Cucumber.
  
• Experience in Manual Testing and Quality Assurance.
  
• Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
  
• Understanding of Smart Metering, AMI, Meter Data Management (MDM), or Utility domain.
  
• Experience in Test Case Design, Execution, and Defect Tracking.
  
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
  
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar bug-tracking tools.
  
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
