Esyasoft Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior SAP IS-U Tester to support utilities projects, focusing on test planning, design and execution across IS-U modules.

You will collaborate with business users, functional consultants and developers to ensure high-quality SAP IS-U implementations, manage defects, and coordinate end-to-end testing phases. Strong knowledge of DM, Billing and FICA, and experience with test tools are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of consulting experience in manual testing and/or automation for SAP applications.
• SAP IS-U knowledge including DM, Billing and FICA, Meter-to-Cash.
• ISTQB CTFL certification is desirable.

Job Description

The SAP IS-U Tester will support Utilities transformation and support projects by performing functional, integration and end-to-end testing across SAP Industry Solution for Utilities (IS-U). The role requires a good understanding of utility business processes, including Customer Service, Device Management, Meter-to-Cash, Billing, Invoicing and Customer Move-In/Move-Out. The role is responsible for test planning, test case design and execution, defect management, requirement traceability and coordination with business users, functional consultants and development teams to support high-quality SAP IS-U implementations and enhancements.

Key Responsibility:

• Understand business functionalities and requirements from Business Process Documents (BPD) and Functional Specifications (FS).
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts for SAP IS-U modules.
• Perform functional, regression, system integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Conduct interface testing involving SAP and third-party applications.
• Coordinate testing activities, support testing team management and participate in client interactions.
• Log, track, retest and validate defects; work with SAP functional consultants and developers for timely issue resolution.
• Use test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or HP ALM.
• Create and maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Prepare testing status reports and provide regular updates to project leadership.
• Coordinate with business users and solution teams throughout testing cycles.

Mandatory Skills:

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SAP IS-U modules, including Device Management (DM), Billing and FICA.
• In-depth knowledge of the Meter-to-Cash process.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of SAP IS-U Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
• Basic SAP IS-U configuration knowledge is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, JIRA and Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of test automation tools such as Worksoft Certify or Tricentis Tosca is desirable.
• Experience in manual testing and/or automation script development for SAP and web-based applications.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic SAP IS-U configuration knowledge.
• Performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Test automation using Worksoft Certify or Tricentis Tosca.
• Exposure to SAP utilities implementations and enhancements.
  

Requirements

Job Specific Requirement:

• SAP IS-U Device Management (DM), Billing and FICA.
• Meter-to-Cash process and basic to intermediate knowledge of SAP IS-U AMI.
• Functional, regression, system integration, interface and UAT testing.
• Test planning, test case/script design, execution, defect management and RTM.
• Performance testing exposure to JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Automation exposure to Worksoft Certify or Tricentis Tosca.
• Basic SAP IS-U configuration knowledge is desirable.

Years of Exp & Qualification:

• 3–6 years of consulting experience in manual testing and/or automation script development for SAP applications and web-based applications. Prior experience in SAP IS-U testing is required.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline. Relevant practical experience in SAP IS-U testing is essential.
  

Professional Certifications:

• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL).
  
• SAP certification relevant to SAP S/4HANA Utilities or SAP IS-U.
  
• Tricentis Tosca certification for test automation is an advantage.
  
• Worksoft Certify training or certification is an advantage.
  
• Relevant certification in software testing, test management or performance testing is desirable.
