Job summary

HypTechie is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – SRE to join our Bangalore team in a hybrid role. You will design observability and reliability solutions, lead incident response, and drive automation to improve system availability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, hands-on AWS experience, and a solid grounding in SRE principles. Proficiency with IaC tools and Python is preferred for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles.
• 1+ years of hands-on AWS experience in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
• Solid foundation in DevOps practices and toolchains.
• Experience with observability tools: New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, Logz.io, etc.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure: Firewalls, ACLs, load balancers, etc.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools: AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Serverless, Terraform.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Measure and optimize performance, capacity, and reliability across workloads.

• Perform demand forecasting, load testing, and failover testing for capacity management.
• Enforce strict change management practices including safe rollouts, fast detection, and rollback strategies.
• Implement DevOps best practices like Blue-Green and Canary deployments, CI/CD, and continuous monitoring.
