Job summary

N-able is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Engineer to design, build, and maintain multi-tenant reporting solutions. You will craft SSRS reports, develop ETL pipelines with SSIS, and optimize T-SQL for performance.

The role emphasizes AI-DLC practices and cross-team collaboration to ensure scalable, reliable analytics. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in data warehousing, strong dimensional modelling, and experience with C# in the reporting layer.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in reporting and data warehouse engineering.
• Strong SSRS report authoring including expressions and built-in functions.
• Experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tool and SQL Server integration.
• Advanced T-SQL with query tuning and lock contention diagnosis.
• Dimensional modelling for query performance (fact/dimension design).
• C# for the reporting service layer; familiarity with multi-tenant reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Author, repair and extend reports for N-central customers using SSRS.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines from operational databases to the reporting warehouse.
• Model and maintain warehouse fact and dimension tables, including patch status and device availability.
• Diagnose report failures and performance issues, e.g., long-running queries and lock contention.
• Collaborate with analytics and eventing teams on data feeding your warehouse.
• Own the reporting surface end-to-end as the specialist.

What You’ll Do

• Author, repair and extend the reports N‑central customers rely on, built in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Build and maintain extract, transform and load (ETL) pipelines that move data from operational databases into the reporting warehouse
• Model and maintain warehouse fact and dimension tables, including patch status and device availability
• Diagnose report failures and performance problems — long-running queries, lock contention, reports that break at scale
• Work with the analytics and eventing teams on the data feeding your warehouse
• Own this surface end to end; you will be the specialist for it

What You’ll Bring

• 6+ years in reporting and data warehouse engineering
• Strong SSRS report authoring, including expressions and built-in functions
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or comparable ETL experience
• Advanced T‑SQL, including query tuning and diagnosing lock contention
• Dimensional modelling — fact and dimension design for query performance

• Demonstrated use of Spec‑Driven Development (SDD) and AI‑assisted development lifecycle (AI‑DLC) practices, or a directly equivalent methodology
• Java experience is beneficial
