Job summary

Cadence is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our testing practice in India. The role involves creating comprehensive test plans, building scalable automation with Playwright (TypeScript) and REST Assured, and using AI tools to accelerate test development.

You will perform various testing types, including performance testing with JMeter, and collaborate closely with developers and product owners to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in Software Testing.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, Bug Reporting, and Defect Management.
• Strong experience with Playwright Automation using TypeScript.
• Experience with Agentic AI workflows for test automation and AI-assisted software testing.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools for automation development.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience in REST API Testing and API Automation using REST Assured Framework.
• Hands-on experience with TestNG and Maven.
• Knowledge of JMeter and Performance Testing concepts.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins preferred).
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills

• 4-7 years of experience in Software Testing.
• Strong experience in Test Planning, Test Strategy, Test Case Writing, and Test Execution.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, Bug Reporting, and Defect Management.
• Strong experience with Playwright Automation using TypeScript.
• Experience with Agentic AI workflows for test automation and AI-assisted software testing.
• Proficiency in using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools for automation development and productivity enhancement.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience in REST API Testing and API Automation using REST Assured Framework.
• Hands-on experience with TestNG and Maven.
• Knowledge of JMeter and Performance Testing concepts (Load, Stress, Volume, and Scalability Testing).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins preferred).
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Exposure to Allure/Extent Reports and test reporting frameworks.
• Understanding AI-driven test generation, self-healing automation frameworks, and intelligent test analytics.
