Cadence is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automation strategies. You will build UI automations with Playwright/TypeScript and API tests with REST Assured, while leveraging AI tools to boost productivity.

• 4–7 years of experience in software testing.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing, bug reporting, and defect management.
• Strong experience with Playwright automation using TypeScript.
• Experience in REST API testing and API automation using REST Assured.
• Experience with TestNG and Maven.
• Familiar with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins preferred).
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AI workflows for test automation is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements.

• Experience with Agentic AI workflows for test automation and AI-assisted software testing.
• Proficiency in using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools for automation development and productivity enhancement.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience in REST API Testing and API Automation using REST Assured Framework.
• Hands-on experience with TestNG and Maven.
• Knowledge of JMeter and Performance Testing concepts (Load, Stress, Volume, and Scalability Testing).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins preferred).
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Exposure to Allure/Extent Reports and test reporting frameworks.
• Understanding AI-driven test generation, self-healing automation frameworks, and intelligent test analytics.
