Job summary

Fortanix is looking for a Software Engineer III to join the Key Insight team in Bangalore. In this role, you will code in Rust and design, build, and maintain our observability platform to enhance performance and scalability of our cloud security solutions.

You will translate product requirements into technical designs, develop backend microservices and REST APIs, and improve system stability and security through rigorous code reviews.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in building backend systems in Rust.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices and REST APIs.
• Familiar with observability topics: monitoring, logging, tracing.
• Experience with database architecture, scaling and optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.

In this role, you will play a critical role coding in Rust and designing, building, and maintaining our observability platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize the performance and scalability of our cloud security solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Design and evolve database architecture for scalable, reliable data access.

Qualifications

• Has 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Is proficient in building backend systems in Rust.
• Has strong backend experience with distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Understands observability concepts such as monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Has experience with database architecture, scaling, and optimization.
• Has worked with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Is familiar with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Communicates clearly and solves problems effectively.
