PubMatic is seeking engineers to design and implement highly scalable backend components for the OpenWrap Ad Server using Golang. The role involves building high-performance services in a Linux/UNIX environment, owning modules, and delivering quality software in an Agile setting.

With 4+ years of Go experience and familiarity with PostgreSQL and scripting, you will contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team culture and have opportunities to grow your career at PubMatic.

Qualifications

About The Role

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services usingGolangin aLinux/UNIXenvironment.
• Use best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work.

We'd Love for You to Have

• Four plus years of development experience in Go, Linux/UNIX environment. Good to have experience with JAVA language.
• Proficiency in the implementation of algorithms and the use of advanced data structures to solve problems in computing. A solid knowledge in the principles of computer science is desired.
• Good experience in building complex and scalable solutions.
• Ability to find optimal solutions and innovative ideas.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Being able to use generative AI-based tools and IDE for getting work done.
• Understanding of different models at the basic level.
• Prompt engineering basics.
• Knowledge of OS and working experience on system programming (multi-threading, multi-processing, memory management).
• Troubleshoot any issues with existing features, live on production.
• Ability to write clean, modular and loosely coupled code.
• Ability to understand end-to-end product functionality.
• Working knowledge of scripting Perl/Python/Shell.
• Working experience in databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
