Job summary

PubMatic is seeking an experienced Go engineer to design and implement scalable, low-latency DSP bidder features within the Activate platform. You will handle millions of requests per second in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to architecture decisions and code quality.

The role emphasizes ownership of the full lifecycle, from design through deployment and production monitoring. The ideal candidate has 7–12 years of Golang experience on Linux/UNIX, strong debugging skills,

What You'll Do

• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) development on Linux/UNIX platforms.
• Proficient in leveraging Generative AI-assisted development tools to improve software development productivity, code quality, and engineering efficiency.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications on Kubernetes (K8s); experience with containerized environments is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and system programming concepts, including multithreading, multiprocessing, and memory management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the software development lifecycle, including solution design, implementation, code reviews, automated testing, deployment, release management, production monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Design and develop clean, modular, maintainable, and scalable software following engineering best practices.
• Understand end-to-end product functionality and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Design technical solutions and contribute to architecture and design discussions for new features and enhancements.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues while ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of services.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
