Job summary

PubMatic in Pune, India is seeking experienced Go engineers to design scalable low-latency DSP bidder features on Activate platform. You will build applications handling millions of requests per second in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include Go development on Linux, Kubernetes deployment, Agile practices, end-to-end ownership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge of data structures, PostgreSQL, and performance optimization expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• 7–12 years Go engineering experience on Linux/Unix.
• Experience with Kubernetes and PostgreSQL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write scalable Go services for low-latency DSP bidder features.
• Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and threading models.
• Provide end‑to‑end ownership across the SDLC.

About the Role:

PubMatic is looking for engineers, who can design and implement highly scalable and low-latency DSP bidder features in our Activate platform. What You'll Do:

• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) development on Linux/UNIX platforms.
• Proficient in leveraging Generative AI-assisted development tools to improve software development productivity, code quality, and engineering efficiency.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications on Kubernetes (K8s); experience with containerized environments is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and system programming concepts, including multithreading, multiprocessing, and memory management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the software development lifecycle, including solution design, implementation, code reviews, automated testing, deployment, release management, production monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Design and develop clean, modular, maintainable, and scalable software following engineering best practices.
• Understand end-to-end product functionality and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Design technical solutions and contribute to architecture and design discussions for new features and enhancements.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues while ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of services.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
